Amazon.co.uk Review Well, if Pokemon can catch on in this country, there's no reason why Harvest Moon can't, too. This game takes the farming-simulation concept from its Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 counterparts and shrinks it down, removing some favourable aspects but including many more. The new version expands on the first Game Boy version, providing a bigger world in which to tend your farm. There are also more tasks to do in a given day, such as planting this and milking that, and all of it must be done at a frantic pace if everything is to be completed. The pace of the game is what really makes it addictive, but players can also take the day off and play minigames, which are fun as well. The one thing this game lacks is the dating and marriage aspect of the console games. This was one of the cutest features of the series, but there still seems to be enough to warrant a play-through. --Robb Guido

UNBEATABLE GAME - well down Natsume! June 21, 2001 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is a rather addicting game! I have bought HM1 and find it really lovely to play on. And HM2 is even better, more chores to do everyday, basically you just have to work 10 times harder than you would in HM1! Well, you gotta put some effort in making friends with the villagers. I would recommend this game, but try to find a good walk through, otherwise, you will be doing things wrong and wish you did find one.
Shine on harvest moon 2! April 23, 2001 A. Newman (Southern England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is the first game I have bought, on the basis of a review, for nearly a year and it is great. The simplicity of the gameplay, the cute graphics, the not-so-annoying music (as apposed to numerous GB titles) all add up to a compelling and addictive game. Buy it. I'd tell you what happens in the end but my partner took it away after two hours of it arriving on the doorstep and she has hardly put it down since!
great gameplay! April 7, 2001 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I never knew farming could be so much fun! I love this game and i am absolutley addicted as will you be if you buy it! It is like the sims where you build your empire and it takes a lot of work and time but it is well worth it.
Harvest Moon 2 review April 3, 2001 christopher (Oxford,England) 3 out of 14 found this review helpful
I exspect this game to be a lot better than the last Gameboy one which I thought was terrible .I think this one will include all the stuff that the SNES one did(which was a lot better than the GB one) .And will basicallly be a sequel to the SNES version .I look forward to this game ranchers!
This will be one hell of a game... September 4, 2000 Harry Carr (Teddington) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is as close as you will get to the SNES original as possible. Everything is there, the towns, festivals, people. The love aspect (i think) is there too. Let's all buy this game and celebrate it's perfection!
