Amazon.co.uk Review The third instalment of the series that redefined the survival horror video-game genre, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is the best Resident Evil yet. As Jill Valentine, one of the original game's survivors, players must fight for their lives while fleeing a city overrun by hordes of zombies and other hideous creatures mutated by a sinister corporation's biotechnological virus. To make thing worse, a near-invincible monstrosity known as the Nemesis stalks Jill throughout the game, which raises the series' suspense level to an all-new high. In addition to the constant threat of the Nemesis, Resident Evil 3 features other gameplay elements new to the series: players can now dodge attacks, perform quick 180-degree turns, and create ammunition by mixing gunpowder types. Also, the "Live Selection" feature forces players to make decisions that affect the story's direction. While none of these additions are particularly groundbreaking, Resident Evil 3 keeps the player in suspense and the action even more intense than in its predecessors, proving that more of same can be a good--make that very, very good--thing in a sequel. --Joe Hon

A great game for fans of the series. August 24, 2008 James Hutton (england) the third game is great, and highly origional. jill is your character, and has help from carlos, who you even control for a bit. nemesis is the main enemy and he certainly becomes irritating, but he sure is fun to defeat as every time you defeat him he says stars in a low groan which gives you a satisfaction of knowing hes getting his rear kicked by something he hates. strangley enogh, anyone who has played re2, will find it strange that pilot brad vickers is still alive. although you find out how he dies and becomes a zombie, it is strange as re2 and 3 must be happening at the same time. a great game which i cant recomend enough !

You want stars, i'll give you stars (contains minor spoilers) May 15, 2008 Hayley Jackson Since my first dabble with the original game i've been pretty much hooked on most of the resident evil series. Resident Evil 3 sees the return of Jill Valentine who has now quit stars and is trying to escape Racoon City for good. I felt this game had a good plotline with some strong characters (even if Carlos is a smooth talking git). We follow Jill as she makes her final bid to escape Racoon City. The nemesis was a nice addition to this game, anyone who's played it in hard mode will know that knocking him down gives you bonuses. This game has good graphics for a PS1 game, a strong plot, a bit of creepy music added to the mix makes this game awesome. I just can't help feeling sorry for Brad Vickers everytime I play it. I particularly liked the end fight with the nemesis and at the very end I always insist on exterminating rather than escaping. This is one game I wouldn't mind playing while on the go, if there was such a version. Five stars well deserved.
follow up to Resident Evil 2 May 28, 2007 David Mills (USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
First Resident Evil game I played on was Resident Evil 2 on my cousin's Playstation, scared the be-jesus out of me, second one I played on was the origional for the Sega Saturn. It's pretty much the same as Resident Evil 2, only this time you can only play as Jill, the zombies can run and belch acid, and there's some new monsters such as the upgraded Hunter, giant tunnel worm, and these crawly licker like things that bite into your skull and suck your brainz. If you have completed the other 2 RE games, then you will pretty much walk through this one. It took me a month to complete, and the fact that you can save (and are not limited to the amount of times you die) makes it pretty easy even in hard mode. Scariest thing about this game is the huge hulking Nemesis monster that chaces you around the city. Apart from that, it's pretty much the same as RE2. When you complete it, your left feeling like it could have been longer. There's also a bonus a bonus game when you have completed it called 'The Mercinaries,' which I haven't played yet but I'm assuming it's just a shoot em up type skirmish.
The Best Survival Horror Game Ever!!!! April 12, 2007 - (Worthing, West Sussex United Kingdom) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Resident Evil- Nemesis was the first Resident Evil game I ever played. Being very young at the time it scared the heebie jeebies out of me. A few years later I plucked up the courage to play it again and it was awesome. It is the game that got me into Resident Evil and other horror games. Challenging in both fighting and puzzle solving this game is the best for anyone who, like me, enjoys survival horrors. Buy it and buy it NOW!!!!!
