    1 out of 5 stars Average   January 2, 2009

Very average, this game hasnt improved much since the early days of the Megadrive. But now the keeper has got some sort of fascination taking the bails off which after 3 overs saw me turn it off. Dont bother, wait for something better to come along.

    Oh, where to start?

You sometimes get real players names and sometimes you dont?

The online connection will drop out randomly and the whole thing was rushed out in time for the World Cup.

If you can get it for a fiver AND you are an absolute cricket nut then it might be worth five quid, otherwise its buggy, and dull and i wished i hadnt wasted by cash on it ...

    ...honestly...its a dog

4 out of 5 stars Good fun but way too easy!!   September 20, 2007

Whilst its the best cricket game on 360... the previous one (2005) was at least more competitive. I mean I've played this on the hardest, realistic setting (test) and made over 1200 runs in 60 overs in one innings of a test match. The only way to make it competitive is to save it after an innings and then load it up and play as the other team and try to chase down the mammoth score you made previously. The only other way to make it remotely competitive is to play as Bermuda or Ireland against Australia or the West Indies. It makes it MUCH harder... you have to rely on lots of singles, but its STILL too easy! I tried a 20/20 game on the 'slog' setting thinking that would be the hardest. I made 435 and bowled the computer out for 65. Silly.
That said its still a lot of fun for cricket fans!!

3 out of 5 stars Almost good   August 1, 2007

like many other people have said this game is good but has massive flaws in the gameplay
the batting for 1 is far too easy
for 2 the names aren't real and you can't edit them (i don't see why they can have real names for one-day matches and not tests)
if you create your own team then you can't have the real player names even if it's a one day match
if you create your own player then they can't play for an international team
and finally it's far too easy to complete, once you've done the world cup and champions trophy there's nothing to do, there should be counties
these flaws are irritating because if they were ironed out then this game would be immesurably good, the catches and throws are good, the bowling is good and it's a shame that they haven't gotten rid of them and all because they wanted to bring it out for the world cup not make it the best game it could be.

    3 out of 5 stars Frustrating!!!!   July 4, 2007

Much the same as other reviews really, a decent cricket game, but with some huge flaws!!

its just not challenging enough, il leave out the wicket keeper stumpings etc, as other reviews have covered that.

my biggest problem is the ease of the game!

even on the harderst level, its just to easy!

On test level i thought i had it figured, took a while but got the aussies out for 450, and took about about 3.5hours to do so.
but then i managed to get the needed runs in about 20 overs, with no wickets!!! to easy!

but usually you can get any team out for less that 100runs.

and dont get me started on the fielding, to make a catch is very difficult, esecially if you have slow reactions like me, its nigh on impossible! and when fielders throw the ball and miss the stumps, they just stand and watch the ball roll away, giving away more runs!

overall a half decent game, better if the batting was harder, and the other glitches were sorted out!
