Ancient Egypt. It has fascinated many for decades. Now you can learn more about this amazing civilisation. Children of the Nile takes you back to the time of pyramids, where you will rule as Pharaoh. Build a city, and govern its people to prosperity. It's additively difficult to master. You have to keep the people happy by ensuring they have enough food, shops, security, health care, and hospitality. And if you don't look after your people properly, they will be likely to revolt, and it's game over.

The game has educational information to help you fulfill your role as Pharaoh, and despite a few glitches (like the edge of the map) the scenery is stunning. An opening sequence on the start of the game is absolutely breathtaking, the music is well-scored, and you can enter your own family name as the Royal Family, also changing the names of your citizens, and naming them after your friends, purely for fun.

Build a palace, temples, statues, obelisks and even pyramids. Learn to rely on the life-giving river Nile, and ensure your people never go hungry even when the inundation fails with granaries.
