    Amazon.co.uk Review

The Sims 2: Pets has already appeared on the Wii, but it was just a simple port of the PlayStation 2 version with little real use made of the Wii remote. This though is a complete reimagining of the whole The Sims concept made exclusively for Nintendo's consoles. The concept is largely the same as always as you take control of the lives of your own fictional family in what's a cross between a video game and an interactive version of Big Brother. The graphics have been completely revamped, moving away from the pseudo realism of the older games and using a much cuter, cartoon style that's somewhere between Playmobil and Animal Crossing (they're actually modelled after a Japanese toy line called Pinky Street).

Naturally the game makes full use of the Wii's controls with the remote used to pick up, rotate and drop objects and buildings with refreshing ease, while the nunchuck is used simply to move around. This is all in the aid of making the game as customisable as possible, from the characters themselves to their homes and furniture. Previously The Sims games let you build your own house or swimming pool but here you can design your own fridge if you want or bed, sofa or any other item of furniture. This feeds into the concept of having to do up your house and turn your virtual ghost town into a thriving village full of oddball characters. With Animal Crossing still some way off this could be the next big casual game on the Wii.

1 out of 5 stars Don't buy from F-Y-M !!! The one star is for the Seller   November 19, 2008

I tried to purchase this game from F-Y-M (Free Your Mind). After receiving two games from other suppliers in double-quick time, I contacted F-Y-M to enquire if my goods had been dispatched, as I'd already received the other stuff. All had been purchased from Amazon at the same time.

F-Y-M made no attempt to contact me. In fact, I received a response from Amazon rather than F-Y-M. I had been given a refund as the supplier could not ship the goods. Thanks Amazon, professional service as ever.

I'm not alone nor am I the first in being disappointed with the service provided by F-Y-M so I'd urge caution in trading with this Seller. Buyers beware!!

    well.....
    this product is quite good.
You do get bored of it VERY quickly so
    beware lol.

Dressing up you r character and discovering new lands is fun
so altogether this game is fun to have but i am never excited to play it.
No well you get bored of it after you become 5 star wich is easy
but apart from that this game is fun meeting new friends and fishing
i think this game is like animal crossing only far worse

if you want this buy animal crossing instead

Just to add to the comments all ready made here, I as a 30 year old enjoyed playing this game for some weeks befre I tired of it. My 8 year old son then had a couple of weeks on it and then my 6 year old daughter got it. We all loved it and it can have up to 3 profiles at a time which now means that we all still have profiles and we all keep going back to this game. It is extreamly intuitive to play and so even my 6 yearold had no problems. A great no brainer!
