Found answers!! November 20, 2008
Mostly every review says that they can't do something well heres some answers to those questions.
1. Your foal needs to have 1 and a half star to go out to the training field.
2. You need to do loads of training and contests if you wan't your horse to have a foal with Luc's mare.
3. It takes a long time untill you can let your foal graze.
4. If you lose the contest which you lose your horse in then turn off your ds with out saving before they announce that you've lost.

this game is a very good one!!! The graphics are suprisingly good for a DS game and the story is quite clever, if not a bit short. the only thing as I said would be to make the story a bit longer as I finished it in a few days (although you can carry on carring for your horses and foals which is good). I like the way the two screens come into action when jumping one of your 3 horses in either compitions or practices because in the touch screen you can see the horses neck and your riders hands and in the top screen you can see where you are going!!!
The foals are encredibly cute and are very realistic; they even rear up in the coral and lie down!!! Once you have got at least 1 and a half stars of confidence with your foal you can start to train it do stop and start etc.
All together theis game is great so I fully recomend buying it!!!

I am 11 years old and horse CRAZY! I don't have my own pony but this is the next best thing. I have all the Pippa Funnell games for pc and wii, I also have the 1st Pippa Funnell on ds. I love all the P. F. games and this one was NOT a disappointment! The horses are all gorgeous and I love raising my own foals to be great competition horses. The story line is great and even once you've finished the story, there is still loads to do. It is one of the best DS games I have come across! It's just like owning your own horse. Caring for your horse is very realistic and all the riding coureses are great. The only improvent to the game I would suggest is better graphics, but even they are great. The horses look beautiful and graceful - just as horses should look!
BUY THIS GAME - YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

(This is written by Hannah 8 years). I have to say this is probably one of the best games i've got on ds. At the start you get a horse off your grandad. Then you get a foal off Luc. You can then do anything you can do with real horses. There's only 3 down sides about this game. Number 1 I can't seem to get my foal out of the corral and into the field. Number 2 I can't get my skill level higher than 1 star so I can partner with Luc's Mare. And number 3 when you lose a contest you lose your horse. But I switch my ds off when I lose so I still have my horse.
It's a great game and you should buy it!
