Product Description
With the opening of the Dark Portal, and the renewed war to stop the Burning Crusades destruction of worlds, the heroes of Azeroth have given little thought to the frozen wastes of Northrend, and the terrible, ancient powers that wait there. Yet the brooding evils of the fallen Nerubian empire and their malevolent sovereign have not forgotten Azeroth? The former death knight and now Lich King Arthas has set in motion events that could lead to the extinction of all life in Azeroth, as his undead armies and the necromantic power of the plague threaten to sweep across the land. Only the mightiest heroes can survive the frozen northlands with any hope of disrupting the plans of Arthas -- and perhaps even challenge the Lich King himself and end his reign of terror for all time. - New character class: the necromantic Death Knight
- New continent: Northrend, the icy domain of the Lich Kin
- New level cap of 80, including mighty new powers and talents
- Epic siege warfare and destructible buildings
- New profession: Inscription
- New character-customization options, new dungeons, and much, much more..

Thoroughly recommended, I've really enjoyed it. August 27, 2010 Mr. B. Shepherd (Northampton, UK) I've been away from WoW for over a year, and I recently bought the Lich King expansion. The changes to WoW are so vast that it prompted me to write this review of the game.
Firstly, before we start lets remember that we're talking about one of the most loved bad guys in WoW, namely Prince Arthas. It's great to see how active they have made him in all the missions. Right from the first map, until the Ice Citadel you're constantly confronting him, and what his reign has done to the land. I really felt that was a nice touch, and it was exciting to constantly confront him.
The introduction of the death knight is pretty cool. The story to free yourself from the Lich King's control is pretty awesome. Witnessing the final battle between the Crusaders and the Lich King was a great reward for completing it. My only complaint is that the death knight is pretty insanely strong.
Next I wanted to talk about the game play changes. Firstly, the map and quest log gave me such a massive smile it wasn't even funny. They finally have markers on the top telling you where to go, and what to do. This made levelling up much quicker, which caused the game's enjoyability factor to increase 10 fold because of it.
The graphics have improved a lot. I play the game on max settings and it looks pretty decent. However, the classic kingdoms are starting to look dated, but this is being corrected what with the next expansion and the re-config of Azeroth.
Dalaran is impressive and a really nice city to walk around. I like the `rare' mounts vender where you can buy a bear, mammoth or armoured Griffith. That being said, none of these are cheap.
The crux of the expansion - the Ice Citadel is what it's all about. The first time I flew around it I just thought `wow, this looks so awesome'. It's a seriously impressive structure and I really think Blizzard should be proud with what they managed to capture here.
The introduction of the achievement system is nice also. Really made the game a bit more competitive, and the reward factor of completing all the festivals, old instances, exploring all the kingdoms etc is great. I felt that this really opened up the game play significantly.
Overall I felt that the Burning Crusade was a bit of a chore to complete. When I got to 70 I was like, oh thank God that's over, now I can play the game, and the new race, the Dranei were like, meh... - however, I've really enjoyed the Lich King. The maps, the engagement with the Lich King, and the stories involved in the death knight have just made this expansion memorable.
I actually can't recommend this expansion enough. I have high hopes for Cataclysm, hopefully Blizzard will deliver. They certainly delivered on this one.
Thoroughly recommended, I've really enjoyed it.
Wrath Of Lich King Review August 21, 2010 SkullzCross Compared to the 1st expansion pack (Burning crusade) this is really really enjoyable. The new lvl cap is probably the best thing about it, apart from the new dungeons! =] Highly recommended if your a true wow fan.

This product arrived within two days on standard postage. Prodcut in good nick. Overall pleased.
not bad but ruined by ppl with no life August 12, 2010 L. J. Peters (england) both me and my wife started playing wow when our duaghter was born as a pastime in the evenings and i'd just like to say the game itself is good until you hit endgame
and have to group with with all sorts of idiotic ,selfish, and down right rude people. the only people that thrive in wow are people who find" I HAZ COOKIES" funny
or some other bedroom bound retard who sounds like mr bean on helium on a power trip becuase they are a guild leader shouting at anybody who doesnt know evrything instantly.
for me the game ultimatly fails becuase it sets you up for a fall i.e you cant raid without addons which are not supplied by blizzard so if anything goes wrong your on your own. there's no minigames to break up the monotony, pvp is just ridiculus and there is no skill involved it's all about who has the best macro's.
the game is just a timesink but is sadly some ppl's only world and it's painful to watch sometimes ,my advice if you have an addictive personality and next to no will power stay away from this game as you will lose years of your life and just end up hating it anyway.
farewell from a quitting kingslayer
thought jersey was in the english channel not the pacific August 6, 2010 sometimethisyearwouldbenice Well ordered the game 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting, in the meantime I'm no longer able to level my main characters until i receive this expansion pack... yes the games got its good and bad points but I'm certainly not here to review something that's been released for nearly 2 years now. I'm here to make others aware of the shoddy delivery service and hoping that if and when it does eventually arrive that it's the genuine article as there's a few recent reviewers that have had problems with this provider, due to games that must have been opened and resealed it seems.
Only wish I had done two things 1) checked out the reviews in more detail and 2) not canceled my order from another website because I thought it was going to take to long... which sucks big time as I'd have it way before now.
