Manufacturer's Description Step onto the pitch and play professional football your way in FIFA 09. Experience the most authentic football simulation EA Sports has delivered as you live the fantasy of playing as a professional player and customise the game to suit your style and ability. Powered by the third generation of the EA Sports football engine, FIFA 09 features more than 250 core gameplay additions and enhancements that deliver the most responsive, intelligent and realistic action ever for the series. Enjoy turning defenders with more controlled dribbling and ball control, snapping off precision shots with improved first-time shooting mechanics and firing beautifully timed passes with greater accuracy, placing the ball exactly where you want it. With new player momentum physics the speed and weight of the player determines everything from the distance of a slide tackle and the power of a header to the severity of player collisions and the height of a player's jump. Plus, players now behave according to their physical attributes with larger, stronger players dominating collisions, battles for control of the ball, and position in challenges for two player headers.

Nice Little Game... January 6, 2009 Angry dad (Halifax UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
FIFA 09 (Nintendo DS) This is not a bad game. It is very fun to play and it is a lot like other Fifa Games. Player faces are not accurate in games although some well known player's faces look the same in team managment. You can do 4000 transfers, and if you are expecting deadline day deals and many other deals to be included then you will be dissapointed. E.g Robinho is still at Real and Berbatov is still at Spurs but you can transfer them to their right clubs. Annoylingly EA have still forgotten to include some players on it. I am a Leeds Fan and some Leeds players like Becchio, Snodgrass, Christie and DELPH!!!! - are missing. Games are really fun although it is easy to get sent off, and in manager mode only a couple of teams will have players booked in each season. Also I started manager mode with Leeds and was given 25million to spend. Other unrealistic features include the fact that I bought Cristiano Ronaldo when I was in League 1. But all in all this isn't a bad little game for those wet sunday afternoons. This was my first Fifa game for DS and despite all of the little problems I'm not dissapointed. A decent buy if you have a spare 15.
