    Amazon.co.uk Review
It’s the game fans have been demanding ever since the Wii was first announced: The world’s first fully-fledged lightsaber game. Based on the new computer generated Clone Wars movie, Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels allows you to control ten of the most powerful lightsaber-wielding Star Wars characters--from Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu to the evil Count Dooku and General Grievous.
He’s not a Jedi, but General Grevious’ four lightsabers make him a formidable foe
The game uses the same stylised look as the Clone Wars movie for its graphics
There’s no such thing as a simple dodge for Jedi
Using the Force is essential in any fight

The game is all about one-on-one battles, as you wield the Wii remote like a real lightsaber while using the Nunchuck to move your character around. Whichever direction you swing the remote, your moves are replicated on screen, but you can also block, parry, and dodge. The action is highly accessible.

Naturally you can use the Force too--from lifting up items and throwing them at your foe to using Force lighting if you’re a bad guy. This is definitely the game Star Wars fans are looking for.

    Key Features
    • Rogues gallery: Play as ten different Jedi, from the infamous Anakin Skwywalker to new characters such as the apprentice Ahsoka Tano and the evil Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress.
    • Classic battles: Set between Episodes II and III, while Anakin is still a good guy, the game features famous fights from both the new CGI movie and the live action films.
    • Art attack: The stunning graphics look just like the Clone Wars film, with a stylised look for all the characters and the same voiceover actors providing the voices.
    • Force yourself: Use super powered Force attacks to get the upper hand, or levitate and use the objects around you to put your opponent off guard.
    • Collateral damage: It’s not just your enemies you can damage, as platforms break apart while you fight, giant stone columns are sliced in half, and spaceships crash around you.

    1 out of 5 stars boring   August 25, 2009

this game is boring because it has few levles which are easily to complete. You do the same stuff over and over again until you go to sleep. We won this in a competition but only played once for an hour and completed.

The only good bit is the graphis.Do not get this game.

3 out of 5 stars If you like Star Wars and Mortal Combat, this is your game   March 21, 2009

I had been waiting for quite a bit for a Lightsaber Duel game, so I got my hands on this as soon as I could.

The concept is exactly what I imagined, a game for you to duel with the lightsaber. Period. No jumping gaps, piloting ships or anything. Pure duel.

I got what I wanted, but with a twist. It feels a lot like a Mortal Combat-style of game. One player in each corner of the screen fighting each other while trying to remember the combination of buttons and movements for special kicking/"swording" movements.

I thought it would be a lot more precise and about general ability with the lightsaber, other than WiiMote command memorization.

Still fun, but could use a bit less special movements in order to allow more realistic moves.

2 out of 5 stars The Force is weak with this one   March 16, 2009

For some reason, I was excited when I heard about this game. I was hoping for a deep adventure with intuitive, accurate controls. I was wrong.

Lightsaber Duels is essentially an inferior version of Bleach: Shattered Blade. Battles are slow-paced and can be won simply by thrashing around until the other Jedi runs away. Unneccesary Force powers are tacked on, but rarely work.

The presentation is nice enough, but irritating comments are repeated ad nauseum through battles ("Why don't you grow a beard like Master Qui-Gon?!" is a common - and annoying - one).

If the game had an option to play without motion controls, it may have been better - even ignoring the other faults, the control scheme kills it. If you're desperate for a Star Wars game, you'd be much better with The Force Unleashed.

3 out of 5 stars Lightsaber fun   February 20, 2009

Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels (Wii)

The boys both felt this game was quite short.
My 12 year old thought it was a good game and fun at first, but found it boring after a while.
My 10 year old still enjoys playing lightsabers against the game, or an imaginary foe. He will probably enjoy this for sometime to come, because it is Star Wars.

1 out of 5 stars They lie!   February 20, 2009

Don't listen to the blurb - it is NOT like holding a lightsabre. You can move it up, down, left, right, or forwards. What you will actually do is end up waving the control randomly at the screen with no idea how your movements are connected to the action (which my five year old quite enjoys actually). The technology doesn't exist yet so don't be fooled.
