This mouse is outstanding, a definite must have for all WOW players

i have had no problems with mine as of yet and the build quality is really good unlike what some other reviews state, i wasnt sure about the price as it is quite steep for a mouse, but after recieving delivery i am glad i bought it.

The software the mouse comes with works fine and is very easy to use, makes playing WOW so much easier, if you play WOW alot i would recommend not even hesitating purchasing this mouse its in a league of its own.

    Thanks Amazon Fantastic mouse

5 out of 5 stars great item helping you to be a better player   January 14, 2010

I got this mouse as a Christmas present to my husband, we both play WoW. I secretly hoped that he won't like it and I will be able to get it as unwanted preent. Unfortunately, he likes the mouse and is a better gamer now. It takes some time to get used it using the mouse though as it is a bit bigger than ordinary ones. My husband sees the only fault in it - it's not wireless. Other than that, great thing for WoW enthusiasts

4 out of 5 stars Has it's problems but ultimately very good   December 12, 2009

This mouse has had a lot of previous bad press. The build quality on original release wasn't amazing and the first one of these I bought (not from here) had it's share of issues (i'll come back to it) the second was purchased for a friend, (ok girlfriends brother) is used daily and has been fine so I belive the initial quality issues are now solved.

    So, onto the review proper.

I've defended this mouse in several places where discussion about it has cropped up. The feel of it can initially be described as a little flimsy. It has however survived almost a full year without much in the way of issue. Mine travels with me monthly to Greece from the UK in a loose zipped pocket of a bag, is used for probably over 15 hrs a week on average and after some initial teething issues is working a charm.

The extra buttons are all rather well placed and have the right feel to them. Left, right (and the smaller left + right) are all fairly sharp and springy, the thumbpad on the side is a little less delicate for use with a generally less dexterous thumb and the top buttons take the right amount of pressure to not be hit by mistake (even with a ring on the middle finger). The 2 way trigger button on the side (far side so not visible in the pic) is in the right place for the ring finger to push it (I have average sized hands, this probably isn't a mouse for those with small hands) and the general feel is pretty good (once the initial flimsy feel passes, after adapting a little from a VERY high end mouse this now feels fine).

The software it comes with can at best be descibed as "ok" and it definitely has it's flaws. The new update to allow in-game binding of macro's etc directly to the mouse is a big improvement but with a little thought it was already possible to work around (bind to numpad keys in the software THEN use it's buttons to bind in game).

If anyone still has one of these with the sticky/squeaky buttons issue (part of the inital build quality failures):
    Get a finger with a longer finger-nail.
Slide it down the front edge of the smaller left/right button on whichever side you are having issues.
Hook the nail under the bottom of the button and pull it back away from the cable, it doesn't need MASSES of force but a fair tug.
    You should be fixed.

To make it clear this was only needed on mine purchased around Jan 09, one bought around may time has been perfectly fine.

I bought this mouse a while back and ive got to say it really is incredible. Once you have programmed all the buttons, you start reaping the benefits in game. Took a little while to get used to what all the buttons do, but once i did i realised the awesomeness of this mouse! Worth every penny

5 out of 5 stars A very good mouse for WoW   October 15, 2009

This is a well made mouse that does everything it says on the box. A little expensive but works like a charm. If you play WoW a lot and need more buttons you can get to quickly this is for you.

All except 2 (the ones on the right side of the mouse are a little hard to use so use these two for things you don't need often) of the buttons are well placed and easy to reach. It might be a bit of a problem if you have a very small hand.

In WoW if you use a lot of mouse over macros it is very useful to have them all on the mouse. This is of mouse use when you want to be able to use abilities on things other than your main target or focus. Using modifiers like CTRL, Shift or ALT can let you bind 3 times the number of actions to the mouse.

The software is OK and does its job. You have two options for the bindings. 1 select what you want each button to do in the WoW mouse software or 2. There is a tick box under the character box labeled"use in game mode" this will let you bind the buttons to anything you want in the WoW key binding menu in game. Note you will have to turn the WoW mouse option on in the interface options in WoW for this to work. I use Option 2 as it lets you do a lot more with it in game.

You might want to use an action bar mod so you can arrange the buttons in a way that matches how they are set up on the mouse to make it more reflexive to use.
