Why pay when its now 'free to play'? January 2, 2008 K. Carter 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Yes, you heard me, free to play, in the christmas issue of PC format (UK) the free to play version of the game is included! The only thing you have to pay for are extra weapons and stuff, which, the choice, is absolutely yours. Anyway down to the game, i found it a solid, if unspectacular online warfare game. The servers get jerky from time to time and the graphics and gameplay are somewhat, well, plain. THIS ONES FOR WAR GAME NUTS WITH A DECENT INTERNET CONNECTION ONLY!!!
Warrock Retail Pack August 28, 2007 Braindead (England) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Warrock is an online FPS (first person shooter) game and to play it to the maximum i think you need to get the retail pack. This includes 1 month of free premium, 55,000 dinars (in game currency), M249, the exclusive 8th slot, Medic kit 2, Special warrock dog tags, a full colour map and the game itself. For medic the 8th slot has the med kit 2 in, for the heavy trooper it has the m249 and for every other trooper (Engineer, sniper and assault) you get a smoke grenade. Overall i think this retail pack is very usefull.
Awesome - Do it! August 7, 2007 Mr. Nicholas Radley 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just do it. Whether you buy, or download for free and pay premium, it is well worth it. Gameplay is great if specs are met. Can be tricky to advance on F2P scheme, but stick with it and it will reward.
Why War Rock Rocks. March 22, 2007 Ska-Dude (Leicester) 19 out of 22 found this review helpful
War Rock is an open beta game where you can download the free game and play against other players from across the globe. The game is very fun and there are a wide range or weapons, vehicles and maps available. You level up through gaining experience by killing, dying and capturing flags. The higher your level, the more armour you have and the more weapons become available. Although, the levels take a long time to accomplish. There are 3 types of game play in this game: Close Quarter Combat, Urban Ops and Battle Group. CQC hosts a range of maps which are played in rounds. To win a round, your team must kill all the other team or you must successful plant an explosive charge. These games are fast paced and they are played on small maps. Urban Ops offers loads of fun as you fight on teams of upto 12 a side. These maps offer the mode deathmatch which is just first team to kill a certain number of the opposing team. Battle Group offers huge, expansive maps with upto 16 players a side a all of the vehicles, including Tanks, Helicopters, Jets and Boats. War Rock is very hard at first as it takes a while to get the standard the other players have. At times, it might be frustrating but altogether it is a fun experience. War Rock runs on all performance computers. As long as you have an internet connection and 256 RAM, you can play. The game performs better on low graphics, but if your system is good, you can enjoy the brilliant high level graphics and effects. Do not buy this game yet. Download the game off of the official War Rock website to see if you like it. If you do like it then, this game includes maps of the levels etc etc. You also get a free month of gold premium which gives you extra priorites and you can host a game on all maps. Non premium players can play on all the maps but they can only host about 60% of the maps. Non premium players can't also access some weapons. Premium packages start at around 3 a month for bronze, 6 a month for silver and 8 a month for gold. To see the features you get with each look on the War Rock website and all the details are on there. 1) Download this game. 2) Make an account on the War Rock website. 3) Enjoy the game. 4) If you enjoy it a lot, buy this package. 5) If you enjoy it more, buy premium.
This game is sour. February 9, 2007 Connor Langford (UK) 8 out of 49 found this review helpful
I wouldn't recommend this to a real gamer, due to the extremely gimmicky visuals and gameplay. If you haven't played the BETA version, don't waste your money on this crap. Another major downfall is that the amount of lag on any server is appauling. If you think my argument is insignificant, go buy the game so I can laugh at you.
