Disappointing November 10, 2008 Fatbloke (England) The PS2 version of this game was one of the most disappointing gaming experiences I've had in years. After all the hype and build up, it turned out to be a below average fighting game that simply doesn't reflect the action of TNA. One of the best things about watching TNA is the variety of moves and counter-moves on display, but this game provides you with extremely limited choices, with only the finishers being unique to each character. Unlike Smackdown vs. Raw, there's nothing to give you the feel of playing as a unique character and, on the PS2 at least, there's no option to create your own wrestler. The story mode is really easy to complete and features a number of bland jobbers, who could easily have been replaced with real life TNA stars. For a company with such a huge roster, it would have been easy to include more real life wrestlers rather than the likes of the cliched clowns, masked Mexicans and military characters to be found here. I love TNA, but this game has little replay value, with barely any match choices and no action backstage or outside the main arenas. The Ultimate X match is a nice feature, but once again, fails to capture the excitement of its real-life counterpart. Time to go back to the drawing board Midway, as I for one will be sticking to Smackdown vs Raw.
arcade style fighting September 19, 2008 daniel (london) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
ok so i played a few matches in exhibition before hitting story mode, controls are straightforward, no multiple button fiddling as with smackdown vs raw, that said, the computer tends to reverse charatcer specific moves all the time, no option to turn this off, can get quite annoying especially when you have battered your opponent. this game is definitely a button basher, found that its more effective to punch n kick strongly then keep trying to pull of slightly more skilled moves, even on easy the computer is fairly relentless with you, good difficulty, does make winning a match more satisfying. story mode is silly but fun stuff, only a few matches in tho. anyways these types of games are meant to be played against humans not computers & if you dont want a techy game then this is perfect for you

I THINK THE GAME IS RUBBISH BECAUSE THE CONTROLLERS BUTTONS ARE HARD AND GRAPHIES ON THE GAME ARE 32 BIT

The game Tna impact is not such a impact you cant creat your own characters in the game there are no titles. The graffics are great with sweating and stuff and the story mode is quite good but overall the game is not that great
