 Great cheap remote May 18, 2010

My DVD player has packed in and rather than buy a new one I thought I would make use of my xbox. I share a flat with my girlfriend and we both own an xbox side by side, granted this wouldn't be a problem for most people but because the remote uses the infrared port on the xbox it doesn't distinguish between the two xbox's.
A more important problem is that it only works with my girlfriends xbox, she has the older version that came with a 20gb hard drive and mine is the newer one with a 60gb hard drive. Since they are next to each other and connected to the same screen this is not too much of a problem for me but those buying this remote may be dissapointed to see it not work if they own the 60gb xbox.
That problem aside the remote works quite well, it has all the buttons you would expect on a dvd remote and controls the xbox very well. Given the cheepness of the remote it is certainly worth the money.

One important thing to mention is the fact the remote won't work if it is not pointing towards the front of the xbox. An 'official' xbox remote would allow you to interact with with xbox from any angle, which is practical for people whose xboxes cannot be positioned the regular way.

Generally very good, yes i agree with the other reviews it is physically wide but not to the extent of being awkward. it works perfectly straight from packaging no set up required. would definately recommend as although feeling cheap it works just as well as the more expensive alternatives and for this price how can one complain.

Despite this being only a few quid, it is actually very reasonable quality. The remote offers all the required functions, the buttons travel nicely and feel very positive when pressed. Unlike some cheap remotes this device doesn't require you to carefully aim it at the device to get it to work. Why spend any more when this little guy does the job perfectly.

Hi there. This remote is working fine, it`s not so comfortable in hand (wide a little bit), but this is a remote control, not a joystick to be so comfortable in hand. Delivery was in 2 days,for me it is good. Now i can play Forza with my music and change tracks without stoping race(works with dvd movie too).I think this product is good.
