Amazon.co.uk Review You may already have played a mini-game on the Wii, in something like Rayman Raving Rabbids or WarioWare, where you have to move a ball through a maze simply by tilting the Wii remote. Kororinpa (basically the Japanese equivalent of the word "plink") is those mini-games expanded and turned into a whole game. It's also not too dissimilar to Super Monkey Ball, in the sense that you control the maze, not the ball, moving the remote to tilt the game world and get your little marble to the goal on each level. Unlike Monkey Ball though the game works in full 3D, with you twisting and turning the maze so that one minute you're rolling down a slide which you then twist around to become the ceiling or wall. As you might imagine the added complexity of thinking in three dimensions makes the game seem almost impossibly hard at times, but it's ruthlessly fair and however much you might like to pretend failure is always your fault and not the game or the controller's. Sensibly, developer Hudson has ensured that the maze designs are the only overcomplicated aspect, and there are a number of cute animal shaped marbles to unlock as well as some that are heavier or more bouncy. There's also a split screen two player mode where oddly the second player has to use the nunchuck - a feature apparently added only to cause animosity between players as you fight for control. It's not for the short of temper, but for those with the patience to play it this is the most rewarding puzzler for a long time. HARRISON DENT

Excellent game June 1, 2010 Steven Carne (Cornwall, UK) I only just got this game now, several years after it was released. I've always had my eye on it because I liked Super Monkey Ball on the GameCube, this looked like a great step forward whilst keeping the same gamplay style.
It is a really easy game to just pick up and play with no introduction, you dont even need to use the buttons so its simple for anyone to play. Just tilt the remote to roll a marble around a course to the goal, picking up the crystals along the way.
That's basically it! There are no other modes, but there are secrets that get unlocked as you go- special courses and balls with different qualities to make the game easier or harder.
If you fall off during a level, you go back to the start, but you dont have to pick up all the crystals again, you just carry on which really helps the game to be less frustrating than it could have been.
There is a 2 player mode, which is just the same again but in race form, you can't affect each other, but you can see where they are in the level.
The game is really nice to play, and has really good physics and responsive controls- you really cant blame the game when you keep falling off at the same place!
The only criticisms of the game are that there isn't enough of it! I got to the credits after 3 days I think. There is more to do, but it does feel shortlived.
More levels would have been welcome.
The graphics are unremarkable.. but the game doesn't suffer because of it, you will be far to engrossed in playing to worry too much about graphics.
It's an excellent game but it feels more like a Wii Ware title than a full game, so I'd recommend picking it up cheap if you see it. Great though it is, I'm glad I didn't spend £30-40 on it.
This game is great January 11, 2010 Emma Bradley At first i thought it would be rubbish as it looks childish; but its really fun and the harder levels are great! Plus you can unlock new balls to use and the flash ball is really fast so you can do all the levels again and again with the different balls! Definetly a good buy
Fun but frustrating March 23, 2009 Clare (Plymouth, Devon, UK) I play this game with my mum for a bit of girl time. It's a really simple premise, you have a marble (as you play you unlock more with different features - heavy, slippery etc.) There are 50 levels with themes like candy, city, park and more. You move the wii remote to roll your ball along the path, this sounds really simple but we've been stuck on a level for 45 mins before where we know what to do but just have unsteady hands or move too much and overcompensate. You play this split screen if you pick 2 player mode and it lets you pick whether thats vertical or horizontal. I do wish there were more than 50 levels because if you play lots it won't take you long to finish this game. That said I still bought it because it's a lot of fun and whilst we scream in frustration we also laugh a lot playing too.
bad game February 22, 2009 i think this game got really boring after while and i did not enjoy it. At he start it was okay but it is really easy to complete and is not very fullfilling.
