perfect for online gaming July 12, 2010 M. Vivian perfect for online gaming, movement and actions now come easily and comfortably without having other keys to mistakenly press, simple to program and with three different configurations means no constant reprogramming
Great item June 18, 2010 DALE TURNER 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have heard lots of good things about this item from friends but a bit dubious to the cost and how much i would use it, but after a few hours of playing they were right. no longer strain after a few hours.
no installation problems, there is a note inside saying to download latest drivers but no mention of firmware update. you need to do both to solve Macro problems mentioned in some of the reviews.
Works well in Win 7 64bit, very happy with purchase.
Awesome! May 14, 2010 J. Ray This is the best bit of gaming equipment Iv ever brought, It did take me a day or two to get use to it, But it really is well worth the money!
N52 TE is Excellent - Belkin ...erm, aren't!! April 27, 2010 Mr. K. Bailey (Middlesbrough, England) I purchased the N52 a few years ago, i play First Person Shooters and because i'm knocking on a bit and have arthritis the N52 proved to be ideal, absolutely loved it, not because it made me a better game player (it doesn't do that, practice does) but because it made things alot easier for my hands to cope with as opposed to using a standard keyboard.
A few months ago though, i fully upgraded my pc including going from Windows XP to Windows 7. N52 wouldn't work anymore.* I do the usual, go to support sites, forums etc and i find that Belkin don't (won't) support the N52 with Windows 7 Drivers.
So, from that i assume (probably correctly) that Belkin will not spend a small amount of money and effort on providing drivers that'll make the N52 work on Windows 7 because they want you to spend more money with them by throwing away the now useless N52 and buying the N52 TE instead.
Not ****** likely i thought, never again would i buy so much as a battery if it's got the Belkin name on it, instead i'll buy summut similar from someone else.
Well, a few months later i gave up, I can't find anything anywhere near as good or practical as the N52 (it's that D-Pad, it's just so perfect for what i need) so i bit the bullet and bought the N52 TE.
There's nowt much different than the N52 except that it's black plastic bits are shinier and it's got blue backlit keys, (ooh lovely - well worth all the extra expense eh), It's keys do feel slightly better though (sort've less clunky) ...and the software's better - it works on Windows 7 anyway.
So 5 stars for the excellent N52 and the N52 TE, 0 stars for Belkin.
*From forums i did find out that you can use the N52 as a keyboard in Win7 by assigning keys to it through the ingame options panel which does work, but only for the top keys, 'cos the software doesn't work you can't get the green, blue or red layers to work, or the mouse wheel.
I'll still never buy owt else with the Belkin name on it though, 'cept a gamepad. :)
Awesome tool after adjustment April 3, 2010 M. Hernandez (London, UK) This gamepad is great. I use it on a very simply but functional level for World of Warcraft. The adjustment from standard keyboard to the game pad was a bit steep primarily due to muscle memory. Once the adjustment is made, however, it is considerably better. The physical positioning of the game pad is far superior and has saved my wrist a lot of strain. I have large hands so the spacing of the keys is slightly tight but moving the hand rest backward made a big difference. This is a must for any serious gamer who wants to be more efficient and have a greater number of buttons at their disposal quickly and easily.
